Sarah Jessica Parker has said that she thinks that a third installment in the Sex and the City film franchise could be on the cards.

In a front cover interview for InStyle magazine, the actress said: "A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell. But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!"

For less fashion conscious readers out there, a MuuMuu is a loose dress of Hawaiian origin that hangs from the shoulder.

Despite acting from a young age, the actress didn't hit the big time until the Sex and the City TV show launched in 1998, by which time she was in her 30s.

"The real success happened after I was grown, and that saved me," she said. "I was appreciative of all of it, and continue to be – my gosh. I don’t think my success has ever defined me; it’s just this thing that I carry around and then shepherd in a hopefully graceful way, you know?"

SJP, who won four Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards for her role as Carrie in the TV series and films, also shared her life motto in the interview: "The Golden Rule – do unto others as you would have them do unto you – that’s my religion, my dogma.

“As soon as my son could recite it back, I’d repeat it to him.”

In relation to fashion, here are her tips: "People should dress the way they want. Any rules for age or shape are silly. If you walk out the door feeling good about yourself, that’s what counts.”

When it comes to her own style, she added: "So I think pulling it off or not puling it off, that almost doesn’t exist for me because, really, I’m looking for experiences, not some report card."
