President of The United States Barack Obama has been offered a role in Netflix's acclaimed Capitol Hill drama, House of Cards.
Deadline reports that Netflix CEO Reed Hastings tried to secure a star-spangled cameo for Obama on the hit show after the President confessed he was a fan.
Hastings was in Washington, D.C. yesterday to discuss the bedevilled Obamacare website and the US government's security surveillance programs when Obama asked him if he had brought advanced copies of House of Cards' upcoming second season.
Hastings immediately offered Obama a guest turn on the political drama which stars Kevin Spacey as conniving politico, Frank Underwood.
In response, Obama chuckled but didn't offer a firm yes or a no. However, he did quip, "I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient."
House of Cards is set to return to Netflix on February 14.
