A fourth Girl with the Dragon Tattoo novel is in the works. Stieg Larsson's rilogy, will now be continued by fellow Swedish author David Lagercrantz.
Larsson passed away in 2004 at the age of 50 and was in the process of writing a fourth novel.
The book's Swedish publishers have confirmed that Lagercrantz's novel, which centres on characters Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist, is due to be published in August 2015.
Lagercrantz, co-author of football memoir I Am Zlatan, said that he has "already started writing" the project, adding: "It's terribly fun. It's a fantastic world to step into."
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara recently said she still hopes that the next instalment in the film series will see the light of day.
