Jason Segel is set to play late writer David Foster Wallace in an upcoming biopic.
The How I Met Your Mother star will appear alongside Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me) as Rolling Stone journalist David Lipsky, according to The Wrap.
The movie, The End of the Tour, is based on Lipsky's 2010 novel Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace, which details Lipsky's road trip with Wallace as he promoted his book Infinite Jest.
The biopic has been written by Pulitzer-winning and Tony-nominated playwright Donald Margulies and will be directed by James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now).
Foster Wallace was a celebrated US author who wrote novels, non-fiction works and short stories. He committed suicide in 2008, aged 46.
