Walt Disney has revealed that the script of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII will be ready in January.
Speaking at a Variety magazine breakfast meeting, Alan Horn, Walt Disney’s Studios chairman, said that although the script isn’t ready now, it will be in a few short weeks.
He said that although “we need a story," that writer/director JJ Abrams and his co-writer Lawrence Kasdan are working away on getting the film ready.
He added that although the budget has yet to be finalised, he reckoned it would cost around $200 million.
Star Wars: Episode VII is due to be released in 2D and 3D cinemas on December 18, 2015.
