Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn will release his first solo album next year.
Albarn, who has sold over 30 million records with Blur, Gorillaz, The Good The Bad And The Queen and other projects, revealed he was working on the album last May.
He told Rolling Stone that he was collaborating with producer and XL Records label boss Richard Russell. "Richard does the rhythmic side, and I do everything else," Albarn said. "It's sort of folk soul."
