Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul is set to star in a new Netflix comedy with Will Arnett and Amy Sedaris.

The original series entitled Bojack Horseman, A Tale of Fear, Loathing and Animals will launch globally in mid-2014 and follows the life of a washed-up TV horse.

Arnett will voice the horse actor Bojack who is trying to find his way through "a muddle of self-loathing, whiskey and failed relationships."

Paul will play Bojack's human sidekick in the 12 episode series.

Netflix chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, said of the project, "Bojack Horseman is a brutally funny and unique take on what can happen after pop stardom. Raphael [Bob-Waksberg, series creator] has created an amazing set of characters voiced by some of the best comics and actors in the world. We're delighted to be partnering with Michael Eisner in delivering Bojack exclusively to Netflix members around the world."
