Scarlett Johansson’s voice role in the futuristic film Her has been deemed ineligible for consideration for a Golden Globe nomination.
The actress has attracted great reviews for her performance in the film by Spike Jonze which tells the story of Joaquin Phoenix’s Theodore who falls in love with Samantha, the voice of an advance computer operating system.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association notified Her’s distributor Warner Bros of their decision, says The Hollywood Reporter. They appealed the decision without success.
Johansson picked up the best actress prize at the Rome Film Festival earlier this month. She is currently still eligible for consideration for the Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
