The last time we saw him, he was plummeting to certain death from a rooftop but a new teaser clip reveals that Sherlock Holmes may be very much alive.
Titled #SherlockLives, the short clip shows how fans react when they learn that the mysterious slueth is, in fact, alive.
The BBC drama is set to return to screens in the next few months, with stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprising their roles as Sherlock and Watson.
There will be the now customary three-episode run and the new episodes are called The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three and His Last Vow, which was written by executive producer Steven Moffat.
"It's been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof," Moffat recently said. "It's time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement."
