Winona Ryder has shared details about the upcoming Beetlejuice 2 sequel and revealed she might be returning to play Lydia Deetz.
The 42-year-old actress is in talks to appear in the sequel to the 1988 movie, in which she played Lydia Deetz, a teenager who becomes friends with ghost couple, Adam and Barbara Maitland, played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis.
Speaking to DailyBeast.com Ryder said: ''I'm kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening. It's not a remake, it's 27 years later.
''I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.''
Ryder starred alongside Michael Keaton, who played bio-exorcist Beetlejuice who is trying to make the ghostly Maitlands leave their house and stop bothering the new owners.
Tim Burton directed the original fantasy-horror film and Ryder insists her return will be determined on whether Keaton and Burton are involved in the project.
She said: ''I would never go near it if it was not Tim and Michael. Because those guys, I love.''
