Paul O’Grady has been hospitalised after suffering from an angina attack, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo says the 58-year-old is in hospital and is scheduled to undergo surgery today.
The presenter had been due to host his talk show yesterday but Michael Ball was forced to step in after he became ill.
According to reports O’Grady said in a text message "I have had an angina attack and I will need a few days' rest. I am going to be out of the game for quite a while, and am going in for surgery tomorrow."
O’Grady was recently seen in an acting role on Holby City and he is due to star with his friend Cilla Black in a new sit-com, Led Astray.
