Charlie Humnan has hinted that there may be a spin-off series from Sons of Anarchy in the works.

"I've had discussions with the network about it, and I think they are open to it," he is quoted as saying at a recent Hurricane Sandy benefit in New Jersey.

"I think there is something really interesting about the origins of the club. And to do a period piece set in the '60s, post-Vietnam could be kind of cool. I don't think we would dovetail and start right after the series ended, but it's something I'm potentially excited about it."

The show about a biker gang in smalltown California is due to end in "a pool of blood" after season seven. Humnan left the drama recently to sign up for the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. He later changed his mind about left the production
