Blurred Lines hitmaker Robin Thicke has revealed that he often gets mistaken for music mogul Simon Cowell.
The 36-year-old singer explained that fans often shout "Simon" at him on the street, which he believes is down to their similar haircuts.
Speaking on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Thicke said: ''I went through a hippy phase when I started out in music and said I would not cut my hair until I heard my song played on the radio. Now I do get called Simon Cowell because of my hair.''
When asked about the controversial lyrics to Blurred Lines, which he co-wrote with Pharrell Wiliams, Robin added: ''When we wrote it Pharrell and I just wanted to be like how people talk to each other on the dance floor.
''When you read it back you can see why some people took it the wrong way, but our intentions were purely to make people happy.''
