It has been announced that Netflix has ordered four original series from Marvel which will start streaming in 2015.

The series are set to be focused on Marvel heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Each series will have a minimum of 13 episodes and the run will finish with a The Defenders miniseries.

The move marks Marvel’s largest commitment to live-action drama following their scripted drama Marvel: Agents of SHIELD, which can be currently viewed on RTÉ Two on Sunday nights.

Marvel Entertainment president Alan Fine said "This deal is unparalleled in its scope and size, and reinforces our commitment to deliver Marvel's brand, content and characters across all platforms of storytelling.
