Twilight star Robert Pattinson has signed on to star in Benedict Cumberbatch’s new film, Lost City of Z.
The film will be directed by James Grey, produced by Brad Pitt’s company Plan B and is based on a novel by David Grann, reports Digital Spy.
The film is the tail of an English solider whose obsession with the Amazon leads him to organise expeditions there where he believes an ancient civilisation lived. On his last expedition with his son, the solider never returns.
It is reported that Cumberbatch will play the lead role but it is not yet clear who Pattinson will play.
Pattinson is currently filming Maps to the Stars and has also signed up for The Rover.
