Jennifer Garner has revealed that her husband Ben Affleck encouraged her to star in the AIDS drama Dallas Buyers Club.
The mother-of-three told Good Morning America that she was reluctant to take on the role as it would mean spending time away from their children.
Garner said: “At the end of Alias I had my first child and so I’ve worked less with each baby and this movie, I wasn’t sure that I wanted to do it. I’m comfortable at home. I like being at home.
“My husband, Ben, really encouraged me to do it. He really said, ‘It’s time’.”
Garner plays a doctor in the film which also stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto.
Dallas Buyers Club is due for release in February 2014.
