U2 have unveiled their first new song since 2009’s No Line on the Horizon album in a trailer for the new Nelson Mandela movie.
But the track may not appear on the band’s next album – due next year - as it was specifically written for the Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
The movie stars Luther and The Wire actor Idris Elba in the lead role and is based on Mandela's 1994 autobiography.
It is reported the band are hoping to have their next album finished by the end of November so they can then decide on a final track listing.
Rumoured collaborations on the new album include Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Danger Mouse.
