It has been confirmed that Chris Pine will join Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx in the comedy sequel.

Rumours have been swirling for some time, and now Variety have confirmed, that the 33-year-old Into the Darkness actor will star in the sequel to Seth Gordon's 2011 Horrible Bosses.

Pine will play the younger half of a father-son duo who steal an idea for a new invention.

Christoph Waltz was said to be in the running for the father role, but it has now been revealed that he is unavailable.

Sean Anders will direct the sequel while Bateman, Sudeikis and Day will reprise their roles from the previous film.

Horrible Bosses 2 is scheduled to hit cinemas in November 2014.
