Top model Cara Delevingne has reportedly signed up to star in The Face of an Angel which will follow the murder trial of American Amanda Knox in Italy.
Knox was found guilty of murdering a British student Meredith Kercher in 2007. In 2011 however the conviction was overturned and she returned home. A retrial is under way in Florence currently in her absence.
Michael Winterbottom will direct the film which stars Daniel Bruhl as the lead character, a troubled filmmaker researching the murder trial while trying to reconnect with his own daughter.
The Mirror reports that Delevingne is not likely to play the role of Amanda Knox.
Colin Firth is also rumoured to be involved in the project.
Delevingne has recently signed to the William Morris agency in Los Angeles in a bid to launch her acting career.
She has previously starred in the remake of Anna Karenina and is on board for Martin Amis's London Fields alongside Amber Heard and Billy Bob Thornton.
