Pierce Brosnan is to star as a book publisher in a new revenge thriller called IT.
Deadline.com, which broke the story, says the film pits Brosnan's character against a disgruntled IT consultant who threatens his family and business.
The role of the villain has yet to be cast.
Production is due to begin in 2014.
