Comedian and impressionist Mario Rosenstock plays a sleazy TV host in tonight's episode of RTÉ's new sitcom, Damo and Ivor.

Rosenstock appears as Henry Vile, the oily presenter of a TV show which bears a uncanny resemblance to an mid-morning show on ITV in the comedy which follows the fortunes of two brothers from Dublin who have been seperated at birth and now live on different sides of the river.

In tonight's episode which airs at 10.00pm on RTÉ Two, Grano reveals a secret to Damo and tells him that he has a twin brother and an elated Damo begins his search to find him.

Damo’s neighbour Tracey gets him on to The Henry Vile Show to make a plea for his long-lost bro, but cunning Tracey has an ulterior motive for bringing Damo on the show.

Speaking to RTÉ Ten, Andy Quirke, who co-wrote Damo and Ivor and plays both lead roles, said: "Jules, who co-wrote the show with me, used to work for Mario as his costume designer and makeup artist so they're great friends so that's how we managed to get him.

"His character is a cheesy daytime TV host who revels in being the ringmaster of his TV stage. Mario plays the character brilliantly, he absolutely nailed it!"
