Blue star Duncan James has been declared bankrupt ahead of the boyband's reunion tour.

The 35-year-old singer, whose real name is Duncan Inglis, was listed as bankrupt by the High Court in the UK on September 12.

The news comes as Blue prepare for their UK comeback tour which kicks off next month.

Blue, who is made up of Duncan, Antony Costa, 31, Lee Ryan, 29 and Simon Webbe, 35, sold millions of records and performed around the world after hitting the big time over 13 years ago, with hits like All Rise and Too Close.

The group originally parted ways in 2005 before getting back togetherin 2009, but their company Blueworld went into administration in May this year, owing thousands of pounds to creditors.

A spokeswoman said at the time: "Blue have been open about their recent financial struggles and are restructuring their business model."

Costa has spoken out about his own financial troubles following the band's initial split. He said: "I had a champagne taste and didn’t save money.

"Any money I did have left at the end of Blue I wasn't advised on how to save it... [but] we have got a good team around us today who help me and the boys out with financial advice."
