Brian McFadden has admitted he would love a Westlife reunion some day but he doesn’t think it’s likely to happen for a long time.
McFadden said on ITV’s Daybreak, “I would definitely love to do something with the guys one day. I don’t think it’s going to happen for a long time.
“The boys are all off on their solo ventures now, Shane’s got his album, both Kian and Nicky are doing television work and Mark’s in the middle of making a record as well so I think they’re going to enjoy themselves for a long time before they’d ever think about doing something again.”
He ruled out a one-off reunion, “I wouldn’t, not for the Big Reunion or something like that but I would love to do something with them again of course.
We used to have so much fun touring and singing together so I would never rule it out.”
Westlife split in 2011 after 14 years.
Although his bandmate Shane Filan has just released new music, McFadden is adamant that there is no rivalry between the pair, stating: ''I really like what he's doing. I wouldn't say there's competition because obviously we're in different times in our career, this is his first single out and it's all an exciting time for him, it feels like I've been doing it for a long time.
"We've got different styles as well at the moment and I think he's really creating his own sound.''
