Universal has confirmed that the fourth Jurassic Park movie will be called Jurassic World.

The release date for the science fiction adventure film was also unveiled as the 12th June 2015, according to Deadline.

No plot details have been issued, although it has been confirmed that the film will take place on Isla Nublar, the island where the original Jurassic Park was located.

Jurassic World was originally set for release in June 2014 but was delayed by Universal in order to allow more time to develop the film's script.

Steven Spielberg has been signed on to produce the movie alongside Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley, while Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) will take on the directing role.

Jurassic World comes 14 years after the last instalment, Jurassic Park III, and 22 years after the original in 1993.
