It has been confirmed that Emma Watson will still star in Your Voice In My Head despite director David Yates dropping out.

The 23-year-old actress was set to team-up with her Harry Potter director, David Yates, for the big screen adaption of Emma Forrest memoir a few years ago, but the production came to a standstill.

While Yates has since dropped out, The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed Watson is still attached to take the lead in the drama.

Francesca Gregorini will now direct the movie which tells the tale of woman who has just attempted suicide, despite appearing to have the perfect, party-filled life in New York City.

She then embarks upon a course of therapy with a psychiatrist who is dealing with his own terminal cancer.

Author and journalist Forrest has written the screenplay based on her own book, and Alison Owen and Michael Benaroya will produce.

Filming is expected to start this November in New York City.
