The celebrities taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing were confirmed last night with 15 set to take on the ballroom and Latin challenge which gets underway this Saturday night.
Amongst those signing on for the new season are Murder On The Dancefloor singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, model Abbey Crouch, Hairy Biker Dave Myers, former Bond girl Fiona Fullerton and fashion designer Julien Macdonald.
Also taking part are Countdown’s Rachel Riley, BBC newscaster Susanna Reid, former Coronation Street star Natalie Gumede, Dragons’ Den panellist Deborah Meaden and former rugby player Ben Cohen.
Rounding out the group are Hollyoaks actor Ashley Taylor Dawson, radio presenter Vanessa Feltz, Patrick Robinson from Casualty, golfer Tony Jacklin and Waterloo Road star Mark Benton.
Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will continue to host the Saturday night show while Claudia Winkleman will join Daly for the Sunday night results show.
Zoe Ball returns with her It Takes Two sister weekday show on BBC Two for the run of the series.
Regular professional dancers Brendan Cole, Anton du Beke, Kristina Rihanoff, Robin Windsor and James and Ola Jordan return with five new faces joining their line-up.
