Check out former Celtic Woman Méav’s new album, The Calling, which goes on sale tomorrow.

The multi-million selling singer teamed up with Grammy award-winning producer Craig Leon to record The Calling and you can hear it here.

The Calling features twelve tracks from Ireland, England, Scotland, Brittany, Galicia and America including fresh interpretations of Ewan McColl's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, Pentangle's Light Flight and the ancient ballad, Black is the Colour.

In 2004, Méav was invited to be one of the five founding members of female supergroup Celtic Woman, who have sold six million records in the US and worldwide. It should be noted that each of the albums which Méav recorded with Celtic Woman reached number 1 in the Billboard World Music Charts.

Méav left Celtic Woman in 2008 to start a family, and she has two daughters. She duly resumed her solo career in 2010, performing to a sell-out crowd with the New York Pops Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. She performed Where the Sunbeams Play in the Disney Movie Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure. She created the Love Theme for the popular BBC TV series The Aristocrats.
