Prince has finally embraced the online revolution by signing up to Twitter
The 55-year-old star, full name Prince Rogers Nelson, joined the social networking site under the moniker @3rdeyegirl.
The account has apparently existed since January 6th, but Prince had not tweeted himself until Tuesday.
He announced his arrival on the site, by posting: "PRINCE'S FIRST TWEET. TESTING.1,2."
The living legend went on to share a picture of his "over-peppered" dinner, before posting his first 'selfie'. However, in true Prince style, the picture appeared to be just mysterious wafts of smoke.
He also treated fans to a sneak preview of his new track Groovy Potential.
Led by Prince, the new band 3rd Eye Girl, also includes Donna Grantis, Hannah Ford and Ida Neilsen.
