Darren Kennedy has said that despite his move to London, Dublin will always be his home.

Speaking at the RTÉ new season launch, the super-stylish TV presenter said: "I love London and I love the opportunities you get over there but I’m a Dublin boy born and bred and I’ll never lose that."

He added: "I love Dublin and I love Dublin people. It’s their sense of humour, they love telling a story and you only realise that when you leave Ireland."

Darren has seen his career go from strength to strength and he is currently hosting The Style Squad on ITV’s This Morning where he surprises unsuspecting individuals in need of a style overhaul.

Darren explained: "We surprise them live on air and do a complete makeover and at the end we do a big catwalk show and there’s a big reveal and there’s tears and it’s great. It has been really good fun."

As well as his style segment, Darren has also found time to film a new documentary for the RTÉ Two series Reality Bites called Like A Virgin where he will be investigating if virginity still holds any currency in Ireland.

Speaking about his own experiences Darren said: "I just wanted to lose mine and I remember when I was about 15 and I was just like ‘I need to get rid of this’."

He added: "I think Ireland’s still a bit prudish and I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. I think the big thing is that losing your virginity really boils down to maturity."
