Lost footage which was filmed by Citizen Kane director Orson Welles is being restored after it was discovered in Italy.
The BBC reports that the 1938 footage was discovered in a warehouse in north-east Italy and was originally meant to be screened during a staging of the comedy Too Much Johnson.
The films were originally meant to accompany each act of William Gillette's three-part comedy however they were left unfinished.
It had been thought that the films were destroyed in a fire in 1970 and despite being damaged, they have survived and will be screened in October - which is great news for Welles, and indeed film, fans.
