Ryan Seacrest has said that the much-anticipated announcement re the new American Idol judging panel will be made "very, very soon".
In an interview with E! News, he said: "We're going to announce the judges very, very soon and I think people will be excited about the names we'll have on the panel".
Following the departures of Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, Nicole Kidman's husband, Keith Urban is currently the only confirmed judge ahead of the show's 13th season.
There have been reports that Jennifer Lopez will return to the judging panel and may also be joined by The Voice UK coach will.i.am.
Seacrest added: "This year there's been a lot of speculation about it, but we're honing in on that announcement and that decision, so I'm excited about that personally."
