Dublin will undergo a momentous flashback when veterans of the city’s 80s' music scene play a one-off show this weekend.

Rocky De Valera and The Rhythm Kings will take to the stage a special matinee show (clearly they need early nights these days) at The Stags Head Raw upstairs in Dublin pub The Stags Head this Sunday, August 11th, at 4.00pm. Admission is €8.00.

The no-frills rock `n' rollers were a fixture of the Dublin circuit and as well as being Gerry and Morah Ryan's wedding band, they toured Ireland extensively with future star maker Louis Walsh as their booking agent.

They also also had a Top 20 hit with John Wayne, which was produced by Gerry Leonard, formerly of Hinterland, who is now works as David Bowie's musical arranger and guitarist in New York and was a key player on Bowie’s acclaimed new album, The Next Day.
