Kelly Rutherford has been cast in US TV show Reckless, just months after she filed for bankruptcy.
The 44-year-old actress will play Joyce, a reserved, hard-nosed member of the City Council on the series.
Rutherford, who has gone through a bitter divorce battle with her ex-husband Daniel Giersch, recently revealed that she has debts of over $2 million.
The former Gossip Girl star also revealed that she has spent more than $1.5 million fighting for custody of her children, Hermes and Grace, who currently live with Giersch in Monaco.
