More drama cooking on Celebrity Masterchef

Yvonne and David get themselves into a real pickle
Yvonne and David get themselves into a real pickle

It's all about a dollop of drama, a slice of stress, and some burnt toast on Sunday night’s second episode of Celebrity Masterchef.

The seven remaining cooks will be split into teams by Nick and Dylan, as they are asked to cater for a dinner party celebrating The Gathering in Drogheda.

However, it looks like athlete David Gillick and Ronan's ex Yvonne Keating's guests may be waiting a long time to get their fish supper.

The pair, who land on The Green Team, are tasked with making a starter of Clogherhead crab salad with micro greens, basil oil and soda bread toasts - and David doesn't seem to be too impressed!

Speaking about the challenge, he said: “We spent a few minutes at the start trying to delegate what we were going to do and how we were going to do it. The most time consuming thing is getting the meat out of the crabs. Shellfish, I don’t eat any shellfish”

It really begins to heat up in the kitchen when David realises that he has forgotten about five crabs in the fridge, saying: “I can’t believe I didn’t see the other tray in the fridge - we just need to plough on – we’re way behind -  we just have to hope we get something on the plate now for all 18 guests.”

However, Yvonne really gets the team into a pickle when she manages to burn some of her toast. Naturally, Dylan  is not very pleased as he shouts: “Come on Yvonne – for the love of God give me some toast – and no more burnt toast – yeah?”

Speed is of the essence and the pair are now really under pressure. Will they make table service? Will guests like their starter? Is it enough to keep Yvonne and David in the competition? Are you hungry?

You can catch episode two of Celebrity MasterChef Ireland on Sunday July 21 at 9.30pm on RTÉ One.
