Singer Lauryn Hill has begun her three-month prison sentence for failing to pay about $1m in taxes over the past decade.
Billboard.com reports that she reported to federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut on Monday to begin her sentence.
The website says that inmates at the minimum security prison live in dormitory-style quarters and work in maintenance, food service and landscaping.
After her release, Hill will be under parole supervision for a year and for the first three months will be confined to her home.
