Ghost Whisperer star Camryn Manheim is to make an appearance on Criminal Minds' season premiere.
The 52-year-old actress will play the fiercely protective mother of a suspect accused of killing his ex-girlfriends, according to TV Line.
Her character holds a dark secret that could aid the FBI workers in solving the crime.
Camryn previously won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for playing attorney Ellenor Frutt in David E Kelley's The Practice.
Criminal Minds begins its ninth season on Wednesday, September 25 at 9/8c on CBS.
