Take That musician and X Factor judge Gary Barlow has signed up to work on a new musical version of Finding Neverland.

The musical is being re-developed by Harvey Weinstein and Barlow is set to co-write the score, reports Digital Spy.

The musical is based on the film of the same name which starred Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet and is about Peter Pan author JM Barrie.

The musical first opened at the Leicester Curve in October, 2012 and now Weinstein is bringing in new people to alter it in the hopes of it transferring to the West End in London.

Barlow will work on the score with composers Scott Frankel and Michael Koire.

He said "This is something I've always wanted to do so it's a real privilege to be involved. I'm really enjoying working with the team and I love the story; it's also great to be working with a legendary creative like Harvey Weinstein."
