Two new Jackie Chan films have been announced by the Chinese studio, Huayi Brothers, which will go into production later this year.

One is an action thriller set in New York while the second is a desert-set war epic, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Chan is set to produce and star in the films with the working titles of Manhattan and Wolf Flag. This follows the box office success of CZ12, the action comedy which made $138 million in China earlier this year.

Both films are set to be released in 2014 and were announced yesterday in Shanghai as part of the city’s annual international film festival.
