Parenthood and Gilmore Girls’ star Lauren Graham has struck a deal with Warner Bros to adapt her debut novel into a television series.
According to a report by Deadline, the 46-year-old actress will write a screenplay for the novel, entitled Someday, Someday, Maybe.
The book is about Franny Banks, a young woman who has just six months left on her three-year plan to make a career as an actress in New York City,
Someday, Someday, Maybe was released in the United States at the end of April and and has already become a New York Times bestseller
Graham will be an executive producer on the TV adaptation, along with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman. The show is set to become an hour-long drama and will also feature the novel's witty tone.
Graham is currently working on the fifth season of the hugely popular Parenthood, and the show is due to return to RTÉ Two later this year.
