Downton Abbey star Sophie McShera is in talks for a role in Disney’s Cinderella.
The live action feature is set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh and will star Lily James and Cate Blanchett.
The Hollywood Reporter says McShera, who plays Downton’s assistant cook Daisy Mason, is in talks to play the role of one of the wicked stepsisters.
James is set to take on the title role and is best known for also starring in Julian Fellowes’ Downton Abbey as Lady Rose MacClare. Blanchett is set to play the wicked stepmother with Game of Thrones star Richard Madden lined up to play the prince.
Holliday Grainger has already been signed up to star as the second wicket stepsister.
