Child Genius, 9:00pm, Channel 4
If you've any issues regarding your own intellectual brilliance perhaps it's best not to watch; for the rest of us who are happy with our brainpower this four-part series looks at the gift and burden of being super-smart as told through the stories of the youngsters aged seven to 11 who were selected to take part in a competition to find the UK's "ultimate child genius" (Isn't there always the chance that someone is smarter, though? So how can anyone be the ultimate?).

We will meet eight-year-old chess prodigy Josh; a 10-year-old trainspotter, Hugo, who is frustrated by those who aren't as clever as he is (that sound you can hear in the distance could be a ten-tonne life lesson hurtling through the sky) and Shrinidhi, the under-12 scrabble champion who loves sniffing old books. Follow this programme up with a Big Bang Theory chaser.

Agnetha: ABBA & After, 10:35pm. BBC One
Just how exotic did Agnetha Fältskog look to an Irish TV audience that fateful Eurovision night in 1974? Thirty-nine years later that aura remains, and this documentary charts her journey from shy, smalltown Swedish girl to global superstar. After over two decades out of the public eye, she's back with a new album, which finds her working with writer Jörgen Elofsson (Britney Spears, Westlife, The Saturdays) and duetting with Gary Barlow. We'll hear from the lady herself, her ex husband and bandmate Björn Ulvaeus and ABBA's other songwriting genius Benny Andersson - along with another legend, DJ Tony Blackburn. And having recorded their vocals separately, we'll see what happens when Agnetha meets Gary for the very first time.
