Jo Joyner has been cast in the lead role in Sky Living's new comedy series Trying Again.
The Eastenders star will play Meg, a married woman who struggles to put her life together after an indiscretion with her boss.
Chris Addison (The Thick Of It) will play Matt, her husband, while Charles Edwards (Downton Abbey) has been cast as Ian, Matt's love rival.
Addison has also co-created Trying Again with his The Thick Of It partner Simon Blackwell.
Joyner said: “I am thrilled to be part of such an exciting project with such a wonderful team of not just actors, but writers and creatives. As an actor it is very exciting to be part of a project like this right from the beginning and have a true creative input.”
Addison said of the project: "We've been dying to make this show for years so it's really exciting to be getting it off the ground with such a great cast."
Production on Trying Again will begin this summer.
