The BAFTA-winning broadcaster and comedian, Graham Norton, was among a group of people who were conferred with honorary degrees at University College Cork today.
Norton, who is originally from Bandon in West Cork and is a former student at the college, was being awarded a doctor of arts degree.
Also being honoured was Irish writer and journalist Fergal Keane as well as Cork businessman Dermot O’Mahoney. The fourth recipient today was Irish-American US District Court Judge Donald W Molloy.
Norton has enjoyed huge success with his popular Friday night chatshow for BBC 1, The Graham Norton Show, and was recently seen hosting the television BAFTA Award where he picked up a gong for his show.
