Funnyman Russell Brand is set to star in a new comedy series based on his own life.
The 38-year-old comic is developing a live-action show, which he will star in and produce.
FX CEO John Landgraf confirmed reports, saying: "It'll be a live action show that is loosely based on his life like Curb Your Enthusiasm is loosely based on Larry David's life."
It was recently revealed that Brand's late - night programme, Brand X, was dropped from FX due to poor ratings.
