Fringe star John Noble has confessed that he fancies a role in the upcoming Star Wars movie.
The Australian actor starred as Walter Bishop throughout the entire run of sci-fi drama Fringe, which was co-created by Star Wars Episode 7 director JJ Abrams.
Noble told IGN: "I'd love to do Star Wars. That would just be epic doing something like that. And it's not beyond the realm of possibility.
"I have a terrific relationship with JJ Abrams and [Abrams' production company] Bad Robot, I really do. So it's not beyond the realm of possibility. It's a while away yet."
Noble, who also appeared as Denethor in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and more recently in hit US TV show The Good Wife, added that Star Wars is his number one choice of big sci-fi film series.
He said: "Well, I mean Star Wars. If you're going to do one, do Star Wars. I mean seriously, if you're going to pick one to do, do that one.
"Because that's basically a cultural revolution. It reset pop culture in some ways. So if I had to choose one, it would be that one."
Star Wars Episode 7 is scheduled to arrive in 2015.
