As part of the build-up to the Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People next month, 1,000 children under 12 visiting Dublin cinemas were asked to name their favourite movie – can you guess what it is?
With 321 votes, The Lion King was in the Number One spot.
It was followed, in order, by: E.T., Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Wizard of Oz.
New favourites for under-12s may be found when Cinemagic opens at Cineworld on June 8, with full details of screenings, related events and school workshops (June 8-14) available here.
Claire Shaw from Cinemagic said: "Cinemagic allows young people to view films from all over the world, to entertain, educate, motivate and inspire and we were interested in finding out what popular films top the list of favourite childhood films.
"Films for all the family are on offer on 8th and 9th June in Cineworld, where young people can enjoy the magic of the movies and make lasting memories with their families."
