Boyzone star Keith Duffy has completed a 300 mile (482 kilometre) cycle challenge for charity.

The 38-year-old singer-turned-actor set off on his journey from Malaga, Spain last week and visited areas including Seville and Cadiz before finishing his route in Gibraltar on Monday.

The former Coronation Street star entered the race to raise money for autism organisation Hearts and Minds.

Taking to his twitter page, the No Matter What singer thanked the local police for escorting his cycling team to the finish line, writing: "A huge thanks to the Gib (Gibraltar) Police for the wonderful welcome and escort to the square, U (you) made the end of a wonderful trip perfect!"

Duffy's Boyzone bandmate, Ronan Keating, also took to his social networking site to congratulate his good friend, writing: "Congrats (sic) to (Duffy) and all the team for finishing their cycle to Gibraltar for Autism."
