Amanda Seyfried has opened up about filming Seth MacFarlane's upcoming film A Million Ways to Die in the West.

The western comedy features an all-star cast including Seyfried, Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman and Charlize Theron.

Seyfried revealed that shooting the movie has been great fun, saying that the cast are often bursting into fits of laughter.

She told MTV News: "Everybody's laughing all the time. It's like nobody cares about the fact that they've been shooting a 14-hour day. Every line is hilarious."

MacFarlane is both directing and starring in the western as a cowardly farmer trying to win back his first love.

Seyfried offered her thoughts on MacFarlane's approach on set, saying: "It's amazing, he looks like a movie star. He's very focused on what he needs to do and he watches the takes, but then all of a sudden he's next to you in the scene, and you're like, 'Uh, are you watching what I'm doing, or...?' And then he yells cut when he's in the scene."

A Million Ways to Die in the West is expected to be released in 2014.
