American Horror Story star Evan Peters has been confirmed to join the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
Director Bryan Singer has revealed that the actor will play Quicksilver, the son of villain Magneto, in the sequel.
Singer tweeted: "Before he was an #Avenger, he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver."
Days of Future Past will also feature First Class castmembers Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult, original X-Men trilogy actors Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
Evans is best known for his work in FX's American Horror Story. He is set to return for the show's witch-themed third season when the drama returns in October. He is one of the few actors to have starred in all three seasons of the Ryan Murphy series.
