Billy Crystal is set to star in a new pilot called The Comedians for FX.
The Comedians is being produced by Seinfeld writer Larry Charles and will see Crystal star as a veteran comic who pairs himself with an up-and-coming star.
Charles, who directed Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat, The Dictator and Bruno, as well as episodes of Larry David's Seinfeld follow-up Curb Your Enthusiasm, is expected to direct the pilot.
FX has scheduled the series to premiere in 2014 if the pilot is picked up.
Crystal was last seen on the big screen in Parental Guidance.
